Default Suggestion: Make Bounties More Obvious

I spend alot of time helping new players, and one thing I see very often in Nightfall is new players who get as far as the Honorable General quest, but are then stumped because they were not aware of the bounties offered by Sunspear Scouts.

This is actually very common. It's not a mistake made by a few mentally lacking players here and there, this happens to a lot of people.

I think that adding a bounty objective to the A Friend in Need quest would go a long way in fixing this little problem.

I agree, a lot of people miss this detail, especially those not too keen on reading every little bit of text. A quest objective or a large flashing neon sign over the screen (or just one of those annoying popups) would do the trick nicely. Either that or make a green indicator over their heads when they offer bounties, like the ones for quests and missions.

I think they should just have like a little sword or something above their head to indicate the whole "kill things for me". At first I didn't know that they offered bounties (after talking to one or two though you know.)

Don't they HAVE the green ! over their heads until you get the bounty the first time?

After killing off half the map only to realized you forgot to get bounty is silly! why can't it be automatic?

I'm glad this idea was well-recieved. I've had people shoot down my thoughts before.

Until you take a bounty for the first time, the shrine NPCs have quest markers hanging over their heads like little neon signs. That's pretty obvious, since in most zones in the game, the first thing you see when you walk out of an outpost is the shrine.

Doesn't change the fact that alot of people miss it...there still needs to be something more.

Maybe a window that pops up, sort of like the tips and tricks thing you get when you first start playing?

It can be in Options, perhaps under the Control tab. A "Bounty Notification" you can tick on so it'll pop up when you're in an area where you can earn bounties or tick off if you don't want crap cluttering up your screen every time you zone.

It would be nice if there was a single bounty per area, rather than seperate "type" bounties.

I'd suggest that if the guy at the shrine has a bounty he will give you, then he will have a mark above his head until you take it (the quest exclamation mark would work well). And all of the priests/etc should work like this no matter how long you have been playing nightfall. The only way to stop it appearing is to get to the point where they don't give out any more bounties.

If there are multiple guys giving the same bounty, then taking it from one will also turn it off for the other guys as well.
